The brief from the owners was to make the interior and exterior spaces crisp, contemporary, yet comfortable with subtle stylistic homage to the past.

A key feature of the project was to key the owner and their personal style at the forefront of all the decision making. Claudette Bonville Associates, Inc. put together the best, first quality team to make the owner’s vision a reality. From the dyed eucalyptus wood pieces that start in the main saloon forward walls, entry floors and lower guest room foyer floors. Throughout the boat are touches of the owner’s favourite material; mother of pearl. You will find it in the details of the custom designed furniture, buttons on window treatment, floor inlays and the wall panel on the stairway. The master stateroom head also features an inlay wall of sea creatures made from the mother of pearl and thassos marble again bringing in a contemporary feel without forgetting the classic nautical themes. As the owners’ favourite colour is blue, throughout the boat, Claudette Bonville Associates, Inc. used an assortment of shades of blue but intertwined them to create a continuous thread of design. The upper flybridge is a luxurious retreat thick wool carpets, cosy chenilles and a custom fabricated overhead again featuring the owners’ favourite waterway cherted in blues and sand colours.

A crucial aspect of any project is how the spaces flow together to make the interior areas a continuous thread of the design. Claudette Bonville Associates, Inc. ensure this by running themes throughout all aspects of the design. The carpeting is custom designed to flow throughout the boat. Lower guest rooms feature a beautiful silk/wool combination plaid that has all the colour of the staterooms. This allows the staterooms to be individual coloured but the carpet which features all the colours, connects them together.

Contemporary fixtures are added to create elegant yet homely atmosphere. Custom designed leather furniture embroidered Italian linens and cashmere throws complete the guest cabins. The dining room’s exceptional glass stable and chandelier sets it apart from most interior and adds a showstopping touch, and the leather padded walls add a softness and unique touch to the crisp interior.
