The Somerset Hills Tapestry hotel is nestled within the affluent community of Warren Township; this quaint bedroom community is a suburb of New York’s bustling metropolitan area providing both proximity and a respite from the noisy city. The building exterior embodies the colonial era aesthetic of the township which Flick Mars worked into the storied history of local manor house stables.
Upon entering the hotel, you can see where rugged authenticity meets elegant functionality in the onyx stone clad registration desk honouring the rich mining industry of the area. With this inspiration the design creates an enduring, tailored aesthetic based on classic elements with wood panelled walls in the lobby and guestrooms. The guestrooms are such a wonderful embodiment of the area’s equestrian vibe; the rooms are large, and functional while remaining bright and cheerful. The nostalgic charm of an iconic property brought back to life by incorporating details such as saddle stitched leather upholstery and limestone cinder roadway inspired corridor carpet to play homage to the “Sport of Kings”. Trail riding, fox hunting, polo, steeplechase racing and carriage driving remain prevalent sport to locals and tourists alike.
At TAP Gastropub, the restaurant and bar renovation reveal a modern take on a traditional pub. The design is upscale yet approachable with an open layout that leads to the exterior veranda. Outside, guests can enjoy drinking and dining while taking in the surrounding atmosphere of the picturesque rolling hills and lush forest surrounding the property. Event spaces include the Lafayette Ballroom, Crossroads event room and Lighthorse Boardroom, offering another nod to the town’s colonial history. The event space is well suited to host both corporate events and weddings making it the event crossroads of north New Jersey.
The Somerset Hills Tapestry hotel provides elegant spaces for weddings/private events, while also connecting to a more intimate food and beverage experience making it the perfect secluded get away. The overall aesthetic, both interior and exterior, flow with the general character of the surrounding township.
