DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SHORTLISTED?
INTERIOR DESIGNER RACHEL USHER TELLS US, HOW SHE IS WORKING & STRIVING IN THESE TIMES
“Well we have to work and we have clients who will be expecting us to be at our most productive”, she enthusiastically told us.
“Yesterday I had a design scheme meeting with a client via zoom, I delivered boxes of samples to her home, safely of course, all wrapped up with ribbon and made to feel just as special as if they had attended our studio for the meeting. I asked them not to cheat and not to open the boxes until our meeting.”
Rachel and her colleague Design Director Claire, also working from home held the client meeting via zoom, successfully.
“The world with go on”, Rachel continued. “and when this pandemic is all over, our clients will have spent a long time considering their homes, re learning that they should be a sanctuary and a safe place. When this is over, I believe that there will be a renewed focus upon our homes and the way in which we live within them. The focus being on well being and our environment will be more important than ever.
Now is not the time to take our foot off the gas but it is the time to do whatever we can to make sure the experience for our clients is as special as we can make it.”
