Tell us a little about your background in design:
I studied fine art in France and discovered Interior design when I moved to London. I graduated in 2012 and after working with lots of different renowned brands I decided to create my own company and develop my own vision. I have now combined both my passions, working on residential projects while expanding my artistic portfolio.

How would you describe your personal design style?
Central to my approach is a balance between calming, harmonious spaces and my passion for modern minimal interiors. With an expert use of colour and texture, I love to create unique, timeless universes that capture my client’s personalities. I am a true believer in harmonising our lives with our surrounding environment and I take a lot of pleasure in helping people create their perfect homes.

Where does your design inspiration come from?
I usually get inspired by nature, travels, and art. Nature and art play a huge part in my life and truly influence my projects. Getting lost in the woods or wandering in museums are my go-to places to digest and get new ideas. My work is also based on my understanding of different cultures and styles I have absorbed during my travels

In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
I feel with the use of social media we are now connected and influenced by the entire world. This has made international collaborations and associations we would have never seen 15 years ago.

Name five key themes to consider when approaching design in 2022 and beyond.
The first thing to work with is the LAYOUT, it is the main structure you build onto. It needs to be efficient and Feng Shui sensible.
FUNCTIONALITY is one of the main components of good design, especially in London where you need to work with small spaces.
LIGHTING is maybe the most important one as it will set the mood and highlight certain features. I always recommend having a dimmable light source in every corner.
Timeless PERSONALITY with layers of texture and different materials. We have seen a lot of marble this year complimenting wood and warmer textiles. I think this dramatic contrast is here to stay.
And lastly, I will say NATURE, bringing the outdoors in, with plants and trees or dramatic flower arrangements.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to design schemes, what would it be?
Have a complete vision of your space before starting the work and don’t be afraid to follow your instincts and make bold choices. I also think it is very important to surround yourself with experts that will make your vision a reality.

How important are The International Design & Architecture Awards?
The International Design & Architecture awards are extremely important, in a very difficult and demanding industry you need the support and recognition of your peers. It is also important to have this beautiful, growing network to develop new projects and relationships.

What projects are you currently working on?
I am currently working on a new Furniture and lighting collection, I am very excited about.

What was your favourite project to work on and why?
The Wimbledon Mount residence project I have been nominated for is my favourite project to date. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work with a client who completely trusted me and was willing to try new ideas. Together with a wonderful team of specialists, we were able to create a special narrative for each room, which made every space unique with its own character!

What was your most challenging project to work on and why?
A different project where the clients have been extremely difficult.

Which products/services could you not live without when designing?
Paint, fabric, wood, stone samples to pick the perfect materials for the space. Lighting design and bespoke pieces are also two services I love to use in my design which I believe are extremely important to emphasize architectural elements.

What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
My goal for the next twelve months is to create and showcase my new line of lighting and furniture.
