Eaton Mews by Jess Weeks Interiors Ltd

Jess Weeks Interiors Ltd have been shortlisted for Residential Property Value £5 Million Plus Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards.

A stunning mews house on the highly sought-after Eaton Mews North, set in between Eaton Square and Eaton place. Jess Weeks Interiors Ltd was instructed by a Bermuda based client. The project required full renovation after a damaging flood, the client also wanted to completely redesign the space to bring it in keeping with the London market. The property was to be used by the client’s when visiting the UK but was also a future investment. The brief was to consider the client’s tastes and the fact they visit many luxurious hotels across the world – the space needed to feature a wow-factor design but also to feel like a home away from home for the family.

Jess Weeks Interiors Ltd needed to understand the client’s tastes and requirements including their high spec need for hidden speaker systems in the ceilings, hidden air conditioning and airflow systems and high spec security and AV requirements. The client wanted an individual design which set the property aside but also with a seamless flow throughout the rooms so that guests were welcomed in such a way, that it showcased a home that was clearly loved with attention to detail.

Jess Weeks Interiors Ltd designed a bathroom for this project that showcased a marble shower which was fully backlit. The particular marble used has not yet been known to be backlit and was hand sourced from Italy to create an incredibly warm glow. Jess Weeks created a design that not only back lit the three walls of the shower but also the alcoves and wall hanging shelves, a particularly unique aspect due to the weight of the slabs and, of course, not being able to use adhesive. A channel system was designed alongside the marble fabricators, that held all systems in place, for full use in a shower being IP Rated.

Jess Weeks Interiors Ltd had originally worked on the projects first renovation with fellow interior designer, Annie Stevens, who sadly passed away in 2019. Jess Weeks hope that they made Annie proud with this second renovation. The tones and aesthetics of the newly designed property welcome you in a way that transitions you from one mind, into a complete state of peace and tranquillity. The importance of well-being was at the heart of the design throughout the full proposal.
