Design Bureau of Marina Putilovskaya have been shortlisted for Ski Chalet Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2021.

The Stella 35 Chalet Residence is a wooden chalet of 645 square metres located in a pine forest. The property is close to the Moscow countryside ski resort ‘Sarochany’. A key design feature and one of the main accents in the interior is the huge windows which give views of the beautiful surrounding areas. The entire interior is facing the windows and in turn it becomes the main beauty of the interior.  

A fireplace with glass detailing on two sides stands opposite a huge window, giving the illusion that the fire is burning right in the snowy forest. Around the fireplace is a panel which was made according to a sketch by Marina Putilovskaya, and which became an excellent frame for a burning fire in the fireplace. A mirror on the wall at the back of the fireplace reflects the image in the space of a small dining room, reflecting the forest and a cascade of a crystal chandelier. The beauty of the crystal lamps fit perfectly into the interior of this house.

A unique table, made of solid wood elm, has been created especially for this house. The panel in the master bedroom was also bespokely made for this project, its natural motives reflecting the Russian Forest. The wood of the walls of the house is processed using a special aging technology, and covered with special materials from Sikkens, therefore it has a wonderful warm shade, repeating the colour of cedar. Vives Spanish Tiles perfectly also complement the look of the home with their aging effect on the surfaces.

The kitchen has direct access to the terrace, open storage rooms and utility rooms. The first-floor guest bedrooms have each separate bathroom and a terrace, they have all been designed in soft colours using the most environmentally friendly materials. On the second floor there are the children’s bedroom and the master bedroom, with their own wardrobes and bathrooms and large terraces.
