Project Name: Le Grand Sancy – suite

Location: Finland

Date Completed: January 2020

Interior Designer: Fyra

Located on the top floor of the Original Sokos Hotel Tripla in Finland, the Le Grand Sancy –suite is the most luxurious suite of the whole hotel. Being on the 17th floor, the suite is home to the incredible and picturesque views of the beautiful, surrounding city of Helsinki.

Le Grand Sancy -suite is one of the four suites in the hotel, but this suite really aims to tell a different story from the rest. The concept behind the luxurious design is a special one, close to the heart of Helsinki, and this unique design concept has depicted and inspired every design detail. The suite is inspired by the World’s seventh largest diamond, Le Grand Sancy. This diamond belonged to Aurora Karamzin, an iconic and notable figure in Pasilia, Helsinki, in the 19th Century.

The 66m2 suite is quite literally the shining diamond of the hotel. This concept means that the suite has a completely different look and feel from the rest of the hotel, even having its own sauna. Luxuriously soft materials have been used for the décor, designed to reflect the colour tones of the exceptional, original diamond. As well as the carefully designed and refined detailing throughout the suite, the whole experience aims to guarantee guests an unforgettable experience and stay.

The old, traditional story meets the modern world meaning the design is classic, yet chic. High quality and luxury materials, with modern elements and furnishings, creates the harmonious and warm atmosphere flowing throughout each room in the suite.

The Original Sokos Hotel Tripla is located in the new Mall of Tripla, in Helsinki’s Pasilia neighbourhood. The hotel is central, in the middle of a shopping centre, an entertainment centre, a train station, and it is a home and workplace for thousands of people. The ideal location for this beautiful hotel to both tell its story of the Le Grand Sancy diamond and also to show off the amazing, panoramic views which stretch out as far as the horizon.
