The Best of Asia Pacific Hospitality Design vol. 3

Thats ITH Interiors have been shortlisted for Lobby/ Public Areas – Global Award in The International Hotel and Property Awards 2020. 

This ultra luxury development right in the heart of Bangkok was inspired under the concept “space is luxury”, the unit size is extra-large unlike any other developments in this expensive area of the city. A preservation of 3 existing majestic over-century oak trees is giving sense of a long history home. This landmark architecture rises in monolith design contrary with a state-of-the-art swimming pool and pavilion building in front.

The interior concept was inspired by monolith architecture and the majestic oak trees on site. the tower as the oak tree, the lobby is the lower part of the tree like wood bark, dried leaves and root veins while the upper level facilities are lush leaves, colourful flowers, fruitful berries.

MO Tokyo Presidential Suite by DESIGNWILKES SDN BHD Inspired by gardens and bonsai, the Presidential Suite is a beautiful reference to nature, conjuring a feeling of walking in a park, including specially commissioned photographic wall artwork depicting inspirational treescapes from Tokyo’s parks. Featuring an abundance of natural daylight and several distinctive seating areas, the living room is the perfect spot for enjoying cocktails and there is a separate library.

Tell us a little about your background in design (education, experience, etc)
I finished my Bachelor degree of Science in Industrial Education and also Master degree in Business Administration. At the same time, I also studied a variety of courses in psychology, architecture and interior design. With multiple backgrounds in education, no wonder I become a person with a broad knowledge in many areas. When I interact with customer, it’s easy for me to understand the deep insight of them, their lifestyle, their characteristic, which are the important guidance for design concept.
From my 20-year design experiences with around 30 big scale-projects, I used to be a freelancer, an employer and now I run my own business, but all are on the interior design path. Each career is a treasured time for me because it provides me an exclusive experience. As a freelancer, I had chances to work with many individual clients and different companies, which sharpened my design skill during my fresh entry level as a designer.
In the meantime, as an employee I could see the bigger picture of working structure in one company and through many training and seminars that the company sent me to, gradually I became a professional designer.
Combine these two elements together it really helped me to be who I am today, a professional chief designer and I can run my business successfully by bringing PalazzoIA to become one of the top interior design in Thailand and step by step in the time being to the world as well.

How would you describe your personal interior design style?
Being open-mind and eager-to-learn about the client, contemporary is my favourite interior design style. Why is contemporary? Because it’s a sweet combination between every piece of style and material together to be in line with any individual own distinctive style. However, when I do interior design, I always stand in the middle between myself and the customer. I try to balance the need of customer and put the piece of my advice from my own style and experience into it as well, which makes my customer whole trusted in my work quality along the way until now.
